PT-SATURN is a new travel choice model to complement SATURN and allow
wide issues of public transport and trip demand to be addressed.
Developed and distributed by Atkins, PT-SATURN can be used to forecast a range
of likely demand responses to increasingf highway congestion - modal transfer,
peak spreading and trip suppression.
PT-SATURN is capable of testing alternative public transport options including:
PT-SATURN allows a flexible approach to trip distribution and modal split -
including multinominal logit functions based on stated preference survey results
and incremental options.
PT-SATURN has been developed during studies in Santiago, Cambridge, Kuwait, and
Hull and has recently been used in Dublin, Leeds and Madras.
